This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixel and no fingerprinting. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to. The one piece of browser storage we use is a timestamp that stops the email sign-up box reappearing after you have closed it; it never leaves your device and identifies nobody.
Our forms — the start form, the directory claim form, the business page form and the email sign-up — collect what you type: typically your name, business name, email address, phone number, trade, the areas you cover and a description of what you do. Form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms and copied into our own records so we can reply and, if we work together, deliver the service.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests for answering an enquiry, and performance of a contract once you become a customer. We keep enquiry correspondence for up to two years if nothing comes of it, and customer records for seven years after the work ends because HMRC requires it. We do not sell your details and we will not add you to a marketing list without asking.
Payments are handled by GoCardless, who collect your bank details directly — we never see or store them. GoCardless is a separate data controller for that information and has its own privacy notice. We hold the record of what you bought and when.
If you claim a directory listing or a business page, the details you give us are published on getapage.co.uk deliberately — that is the point of the service, and it is how search engines and AI assistants find you. Only ever send us information you are happy to see in public. We publish nothing about your business until you have claimed it and confirmed the content. Ask us and we will amend or remove your listing.
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or to have it sent elsewhere. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — though we would rather you told us first.
